Admission requirements
Requirements for undergraduate or graduate students wishing to register to the International Criminal and Humanitarian Law Clinic course are as follows:
- Having attended an international law course, preferably in the fields of international criminal law, international humanitarian law or international human rights law and/or international organizations;
- Having earned 45 credits in their Undergraduate Law Degree (for undergraduates students);
- Having an excellent academic record;
- Having an excellent knowledge of French; knowledge of English or Spanish may be a requirement;
- Obtain approval from the Clinic Director.
Students should also possess the following qualities:
- Resourcefulness;
- Autonomy;
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
- Open-mindedness;
- Personal motivation;
- Ability to work under pressure.
Registration to the course “International Criminal and Humanitarian Law Clinic” is conditional on student selection and professor’s prior approval.
The selection process is announced by email and on the Faculty of Law’s and Clinic’s websites. These announcements may be made at any time during the academic semester on the basis of applications received by the clinic on behalf of institutions, lawyers, NGO’s or human rights violations’ victims.
